Why the rituals matter

A debt of gratitude we are born with

In our tradition, Pitru Rin — the debt to our ancestors — is one of three sacred debts each of us carries. Performing their last rites at Gaya is how families across generations have offered peace, thanks, and release.

🪔

Moksha for ancestors

Pind Daan at Gaya is believed to grant liberation to departed souls, freeing them from the cycle of rebirth.

🌊

Peace for the family

Completing ancestral rites brings a sense of closure, harmony, and blessings into the home.

🕉️

An unbroken lineage

Honouring those before us keeps the thread of dharma alive for the generations that follow.

🙏

Relief from Pitra Dosh

Traditional remedies performed at Gaya are sought to ease the effects of ancestral doshas in one's life.

The holy land of liberation

Why every ritual is performed at Gaya

Gaya is named in the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Puranas as the one place where a single Pind Daan can liberate generations of ancestors. It is where Lord Rama himself is said to have offered rites to King Dasharatha.

Questions families often ask

Yes. Many families join live over video call while our pandits perform the complete rites at Gaya on their behalf. The sankalp is taken in your name and gotra, and you receive photos and a recording.

Pitru Paksha is considered especially auspicious, but rites can be performed on the tithi of the departed, on Amavasya, or on any suitable day. We'll help you choose the right muhurat.

Absolutely. We honour Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, South Indian and other regional traditions. Just tell us your community and family customs when you book.

Very little. Share the names, gotra and details of your ancestors, and choose a date. We arrange all the samagri and guide you on anything you'd like to prepare.

The easiest way is to message us on WhatsApp at +91 90097 37555. You can also call the same number. We'll guide you from there with no obligation.
